Welcome to the Mindful Breastfeeding online course!

My name is Wendy Proctor, and I am a midwife in Bristol. In order to develop this Breastfeeding course, I gathered information from my midwifery training, various books, and research which will be provided at the end.

The objective of this course is to empower couples through education, which is why it is available for a reasonable fee of £20. One advantage of taking an e-Learning course instead of an in-person one is that you can go through it at your own convenience, choosing a time and pace that suits you. This course will be updated approximately four times a year to include any new research or changes in hospital guidelines or policies. It should take around three hours to complete the entire course. Breastfeeding can often lead to feelings of anxiety and frustration, leaving individuals with a sense of failure.

By incorporating mindfulness into this course, we aim to provide you with the tools to navigate any challenges that may arise during your breastfeeding journey. Mindfulness can help you stay present, manage stress, and make informed decisions about seeking support when needed. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to have a positive breastfeeding experience, free from feelings of anxiety or failure.
