In order to understand the process of pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period, it is very important to take antenatal classes.
It is very fortunate that the NHS offers free antenatal classes to all couples. In spite of this, they are often conducted during the day when some birth partners may not be able to attend due to work commitments, so a number of private antenatal courses are now available.
During my pregnancy, I decided to do them all! NCT, Active Birth classes, Hypnobirthing (yes, it was around 14 years ago) and NHS free classes were all available. Which one helped me the most? All of them were good, but hypnobirthing helped me to have an open and positive mind. Today, hypnobirthing classes are a complete antenatal class, which is much more convenient than my 3-hour session lying on a woman’s sofa in Wales! Over the last six years, I have been teaching KG Hypnobirthing, which is the UK’s leading brand. Both parents experience such amazing changes. Not everyone has a straightforward birth, but everyone has a positive experience. As a result of practicing and learning their rights, they feel confident in asking questions in order to make informed decisions.
Another antenatal course to help you prepare for the 4th trimester is Confident Parenting.
Typically, women think about giving birth but not about what they will do once their baby is born. You can book onto the Confident Parenting course online only or you can book the Confident Parenting course with an in-person session at The Park Centre, Kingswood. We will do all the fun stuff here, so click here for more information.
